Star Trek series will be richer in upcoming sequels for another beautiful face – Diora Baird, 25 years-old actress who was once first face of fashion house Guess. “Of course I dare to play in Star Trek! I took the part of dishonorable green alien girl that seduces captain Kirk!”, proudly said Diora who act so far in movies “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning”, “Wedding Crashers”, “Shark”, “The Loop” “Bachelor Party Vegas” and “My Best Friend’s Girl” which play in cinemas at the moment.

Baird was born in Miami where her mother started modeling career. She got into acting when her mother enrolled her in an acting class to help her overcome introversion. Later, she became vice president of her school’s Thespian Society.

At the age of 17, she moved to Los Angeles in hope of pursuing an acting career. To earn money while auditioning she worked at The Gap until breaking in to the modeling industry, most notably with Guess.

Her exposure increased considerably with an appearance on the cover of the August 2005 issue of Playboy magazine. After that she signed contract with Elite in Miami.

So far Diora Baird decorated covers of Playboy, FHM, Stuff, Maxim, Toro and Esquire magazines and now we will se her in new Star Trek film who is scheduled to be released on May 8, 2009 in North America and the United Kingdom.
