Ronaldo meet seven year older beauty on Capri, while he was on vacation with ex-girlfriend Nereida Gallardo on Sardinia. Letizia rose to fame in her homeland by finishing third place in the 1994 Miss Italia, like hardly 17 year old girl. Later she achieved affirmation as hostess on Italian entertainment television shows.
Letizia is known as ex-girlfriend of motorcyclist Loris Capirossi and former Italian football player Massimo Crippa. Some sources say she was also girlfriend of Italian ski champion Alberto Tomba between 1994 and 1996.
