According to sources, although Cruise was overtly cheerful, Katie was super skinny and seemed miserable.
“Katie and Tom ordered a meal to share but Katie hardly ate a thing and just picked at her food,” People quoted a source, as saying.
“She barely said a single word and looked very uncomfortable. People couldn’t stop whispering about how gaunt she looked,” the source added.
The source also said that the actress skinny look is a sign of stress both in her personal and professional life.
“She is constantly flying back and forth between New York and Los Angeles — sometimes all in one day — and gets really run-down trying to keep everyone happy,” said the source.

Victoria’s Secret models Alessandra Ambrosio and Heidi Klum have done something that remains almost an unattainable task for many new mommies — they got back in their sexy shape just a couple of months after giving birth.
The miracle has nothing to do with superhuman genes – it’s the women’s trainers who helped them achieve their tight and toned post-baby bodies.
Alessandra lost 20 pounds to get back to her pre-baby shape, while Heidi bounced back to shape in less than two months in 2005. “We worked out every day. We didn’t have a day off because time was so short,” The New York Daily News quoted Leandro Carvalho, New York-based trainer for the newest VS mommy Alessandra Ambrosio, as saying.
And the 27-year-old Brazilian showed off her toned down body at the annual Victoria’s Secret fashion show recently. Alessandra gave birth to her daughter Anja less than three months back, and it was even more difficult for her to get those rock hard abdominals as she’d had a cesarean section.
“She was limited in the beginning. She could not do crunches, sit-ups, lunges,” said Carvalho. And to lose that flab, Alessandra did climbing, walking and using ankle weights in the early stages. Then later went on to do cardio and Carvalho’s own special Brazilian butt lift workout – a combination of ballet, squats, lunges and capoeira – for two hours a day.
Earlier, in 2005, mother of three, Heidi got rid off the excess baby weight in less than two months after giving birth to son Henry. “It was amazing. She had worked so hard and she looked gorgeous,” recalled Manhattan’s David Kirsch, who served as Heidi’s trainer.
Kirsch made Heidi do the paces with cardio workouts, circuit training and a strict diet, and earned quite a reputation as a post-baby body trainer.
Courteney Cox in the November’s issue of Marie Claire confessed that she’s had Botox – and she didn’t like it.
“Botox? I think it’s fantastic and also horrible,” US Magazine quote her, as telling Marie Claire.
“I mean, they’ve come up with this stuff that can make you not look angry. But you have to use it sparingly. I went to this doctor once, and he was like, Oh, let me do it just here and here and here. And I was miserable,” the 44-year-old said.
She explains, “I mean, I’m an actor, I’ve got to be able to move my face. When people start messing with their foreheads and can’t lift their eyebrow, that’s weird. It’s not that I haven” tried Botox – but I hated it.”
Luckily, Courteney says, “I’m under pressure to not do anything.”
Plastic surgery, she adds, isn’t “really important” to her husband of nine years, David Arquette.
“He loves the aging process. He thinks it’s beautiful,” she says in the magazine.
“It’s weird, because I’m so in love with David right now. I’m starting to really appreciate how ”there” he is for me. But in any relationship, there are times that you’re disconnected. You can see how relationships end if you don’t work through it,” she added.
All about botox looks little strange, because as we remember her husband David Arquette was the one who directed Courteney to it at first place!
Even celebrities are not free from having phobias like the rest of the world, and heading the list is English singer Cheryl Cole, who has been revealed to have a phobia for cotton wool.
The Girls Aloud member, who finds cotton wool to be very unpleasant, will just not let it get anywhere near her.
“I went to the dentist the other day and he put it in my mouth and I felt violated for the whole day,” the Sun quoted her as saying.
“I hate cotton wool. I never use it, not for taking my make-up off or anything. Just the feel of it…it squeaks. I can’t bear it,” she added.
Alison Kerry, a spokesperson for the mental health charity Mind, said that there were many kinds of phobias brought on by fear.
“A phobia is an intense fear of an object or a situation, such as wasps or heights, that wouldn’t normally worry other people,” she said.
“It is an anxiety disorder and centers upon our natural reaction to fear.
“Phobias are extremely common, with recent estimates suggesting that there are 10 million sufferers in the UK.
“They can have a number of causes; some people can trace them back to their childhood and a certain frightening event, whilst in other cases they can result from long-term stress and anxiety,” she added.
Cole, it turns out, is not the only celebrity who has a phobia, included in the list is the queen of pop herself, Madonna, who is afraid of storms, and hides herself when there is a big thunderstorm.
Another celebrity with a phobia is Dame Helen Mirren, who has a fear of talking on the phone.
Even Baywatch babe Pamela Anderson has been added to the celebrity phobia list, hers being a fear of mirrors.
