Singer Katy Perry posed for Esquire UK issue and she revealed that she has barred her actor fiance Russell Brand from living in his native place England because she wants to to stay in sunny California, US.

“We won’t be moving to London anytime soon. I’m sure that Russell wants to keep his roots, he’s English and likes being that dapper man so he’s going to want to keep something here. But right now I’m clinging to California,” said Perry.

The “California Gurls” singer revealed that she is serotonin deficient and hence wants to stay in the sun as much as possible.

Serotonin is a hormone responsible for the regulation of mood, appetite, sleep, muscle contraction and some cognitive functions including memory and learning.

“It’s because I’m a serotonin girl. That’s why I live there. Like my serotonin level would fluctuate if the sun doesn’t come out, my personality doesn’t come out.”

The couple reportedly purchased a $3.5 million mansion in Los Angeles together earlier this year and is set to marry in October 2010.
