Mansion, which had six bedrooms, five bathrooms and private pool and was worth several million dollars belonging to rapper 50 Cent burned down yesterday. Six people including 50 Cent’s former girlfriend Shaniqua Tompkins and their 10-year-old son Marquis, were hospitalized but in stable condition after suffering from smoke inhalation.

According to the last intelligence one firefighter suffered minor injury and firefighters call the blaze “suspicious”, the Associated Press reports.

“Informed this morning while filming a new motion picture on location in Louisiana, Curtis Jackson expressed deep concern over this fire at his property,” said the musician spokesperson. “He is extremely thankful that everyone including his son, Marquis, escaped the burning house safely. He is confident that authorities will be conducting a thorough investigation of the incident and is eager to review their findings.”

Tompkins filed suit against 50 Cent earlier in the year, alleging that he promised her the mansion over a decade ago. Everything was O.K. until 50 Cent become troubled in mind after Shaniqua moved in the mansion with her new boyfriend. However mansion burned to the ground now.

Spain’s Oscar-winning film-maker Pedro Almodóvar has started filming scenes on the volcanic island this week for his new movie, Los Abrazos rotos (Broken Embraces), starring his favorite actress Penélope Cruz.

The Spanish director has turned his back on his signature bright lollypop colors, saying he was attracted by island of Lanzarote, an island in the Atlantic Ocean 79 miles off the west coast of Africa and its black, lava beaches and cactus deserts.

“The volcanic origin of the island makes being there an emotional interior journey,” he wrote in his blog. “When I first visited Lanzarote I found the landscape profoundly disturbing. I had never seen colors so dramatically dark. And I, so fond of brilliant, clashing colors, was fascinated by the subtle obscurity of the place. Black had never formed part of my palette.”

Cruz joined Almodóvar’s latest project within days of celebrating a triumph at Cannes film festival for Woody Allen’s Vicky Cristina Barcelona.
