Disney star Miley Cyrus, 15, apologizes for as-yet unreleased Vanity Fair photo shoot in which she appears to be nude and recently released racy Internet pictures.

The singer tells People magazine: “My goal in my music and my acting is always to make people happy. For Vanity Fair, I was so honored and thrilled to work with Annie Leibovitz. I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be ‘artistic’ and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed.”

Photographer Annie Leibovitz who shot controversial Vanity Fair photograph of Miley Cyrus said that she finds the image “simple” and “beautiful.”

“I’m sorry that my portrait of Miley has been misinterpreted,” says Leibovitz in a statement issued Monday. “Miley and I looked at fashion photographs together and we discussed the picture in that context before we shot it. The photograph is a simple, classic portrait, shot with very little makeup, and I think it is very beautiful.”

Vanity Fair editors respond to criticism and Miley’s apology by issuing this statement: “Miley’s parents and/or minders were on the set all day. Since the photo was taken digitally, they saw it on the shoot and everyone thought it was a beautiful and natural portrait of Miley. In fact, when Bruce Handy interviewed Miley, he asked her about the photo and she was very cheerful about it and thought it was perfectly fine.”

Vanity Fair’s spokeswoman, Beth Kseniak, said of the photo: “Miley’s parents and/or minders were on the set all day. Since the photo was taken digitally, they saw it on the shoot and everyone thought it was a beautiful and natural portrait of Miley.”

Concerning this Vanity Fair photograph Disney Channel spokesperson says: “Unfortunately, as the article suggests, a situation was created to deliberately manipulate a 15-year-old in order to sell magazines.”

But recently another set of racy photos comes out on the Internet, where Miley posed for her then-boyfriend, her producer’s son, where she’s pulling down her top to reveal her green bra.

Cyrus goes on to say: “The pictures of me on the Internet were silly, inappropriate shots. I appreciate all the support of my fans, and hope they understand that along the way I am going to make mistakes and I am not perfect. I never intended for any of this to happen and I am truly sorry if I have disappointed anyone.

“Most of all,” she says, “I have let myself down. I will learn from my mistakes and trust my support team. My family and my faith will guide me through my life’s journey.”

The movie “Flirting with 40” is about a woman (Heather) who goes on a vacation to Hawaii after a divorce. She takes surfing lessons and falls in love with the instructor, played by Robert Buckley.

Rumors about Lindsay Lohan drinking again could be true after catfight between “The Mean Girls” actress and Ashley Olson at New York nightspot Beatrice Inn past Friday.

Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z held a prestige party in Manhattan earlier this month, but have refused to confirm that they were celebrating their marriage. The only evidence of their union is the ring Beyonce was spotted wearing while joining Jay-Z on tour.

As People magazine reported the couple filed their signed wedding license, which has wedding date as April 4. License was signed in Scarsdale town, New York.

Beyonce and Jay-Z had applied for the license just three days before the ceremony, which was attended by family and her Destiny’s Child friends Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams. The couple’s friend Gwyneth Paltrow also attended the wedding.
