A body broken at the beginning, a mind snapped at the end, and some rapid healing needed now for an Arsenal squad that is hurting. First, Eduardo da Silva’s broken leg, then a self-inflicted injury: missed chances and mistakes allowing Birmingham City to pinch a point.

Out of the Carling Cup and FA Cup in embarrassing fashion, unlucky not to beat AC Milan last week and now without the Croatia striker for the rest of the season, might Arsenal sulk themselves into second place? Gallas looked like he was mourning the end of Arsenal’s hopes, yet his team had gone six points clear before Manchester United’s thrashing of Newcastle United reduced the Londoners’ lead to three with 11 games left.

Arsenal lost another three points, but that is nothing compared to injure of Eduardo Da Silva who will be out of game for at least nine months. Of course this is also big blow for Croat national team in the EURO 2008 which will take place in Austria and Switzerland, from 7 to 29 June 2008.

The gig took place at Los Angeles hot spot The Abbey and it wasn’t just about beautiful people getting together for cocktails and a gourmet dinner. They had a higher purpose.

Reportedly, the event benefited the AIDS Project Los Angeles, and has raised over $1.2 million over the years for the charity. And executive director Craig E. Thompson had nothing but good things to say about the event.

“Despite all the uncertainty surrounding the strike and the Oscar telecast, the importance of this annual event has never diminished for APLA and the people we serve,” said Craig E. Thompson, executive director of APLA, which is now in its 25th year of operation. “This evening has become one of the top fundraisers of the year for our organization and we are more excited than ever to roll out the red carpet for all our friends and guests on Oscar night.”

Jennifer Love Hewitt looked positively perfect in a white one-shoulder gown, complete with her fiancé Ross McCall. She told press how much she was looking forward to the party.

“Gathering with friends to watch the Academy Awards is one of my favorite traditions, and I am honored to join APLA’s supporters once again for a great evening at The Abbey. We are looking forward to a memorable event with entertainment, food, and friends, and most importantly, a chance to raise much-needed funds for an important organization.”

No one really has enough time (or money) to see every movie released every year, but shamefully too many great films are left in the dust. Sure, maybe you’ll see a couple of those in dies that are making the rounds on the year-end top ten lists, but even those critics missed a few good ones.

Showing the world her shapely form, Kim Kardashian was spotted shopping at Madison on Robertson Boulevard in Beverly Hills yesterday.

The “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” starlet was wearing a cream cashmere dress that laid just right to accentuate her assets. She also rocked a pair of cream-colored knee high leather high heeled boots.

Kim has a lot going on as of late, due to the fact that E! has begun shooting season two of her family’s hit reality show.

Bongo has hired Kim Kardashian to appear in their Spring 2008 print and online advertising campaign. The ads, which will also feature Kim’s younger half-sisters, will hit fashion magazines in April. Yahoo! Finance says:

Commenting on her role as the Bongo spokesperson, Ms. Kardashian stated, “This is a fun, young, fresh campaign and I am honored to be a part of it. What I am excited about is how Bongo jeans fit. It’s rumored that her booty was a little too bootylicious for Bongo, hence some photoshopping occurred in the new ads.
